Congratulations on your recent acceptance to 51³Ô¹ÏÍø in the Hillier College of Architecture and Design (HCAD)! The HCAD team will help facilitate your smooth transition to the university. 

WELCOME FALL 2026 ADMITTED TRANSFER STUDENTS! WE LOOK FORWARD TO WORKING WITH YOU.

OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS: If you have not done so already, please request an official transcript be sent directly from all previously attended colleges/universities to 51³Ô¹ÏÍø's Office of University Admissions (admissions@njit.edu). After official transcripts are received, a Transfer Credit Evaluation (TCE) can be be completed. A copy of the TCE will then be sent to students via email to confirm the number of transfer credits you will receive at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø. Note: A transcript is no longer official when opened by and/or emailed from a student.

Architecture Majors, Digital Design, Industrial Design, and Interior Design Majors:   

• Advanced Placement Submission
  • For art, architecture and design courses completed at your prior school, please use the following links to submit your course materials for credit and advanced placement evaluation. These courses must be evaluated separately by the HCAD department to ensure appropriate credit and placement in your major.
    • Art+Design: Digital Design, Industrial Design, and Interior Design students
      • Please use the  to organize and submit your prior course materials for transfer credit evaluation. 
    • Architecture: BS.Arch and B.Arch students
      • Please use the  to submit your course materials for transfer credit evaluation. 

You will hear from your HCAD advisor regarding next steps for the coming semester. Once you receive your preliminary credit and schedule options from your HCAD advisor, please sign-up to attend an upcoming Transfer Registration Event as listed below for additional registration assistance.

• Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Transfer Registration Event
• Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at HCAD Registration Session

• Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Transfer Student Orientation (includes registration component)

Note: Your HCAD academic advisor will discuss in detail your updated  transfer credit, placement, registration, and remove your advisor hold when meeting with you at one of the above registration sessions.
